Music got me out of the psych ward, gave me a voice and fuels my spirit. When I sing, I feel the universe loves me and wounds are healing.
I write songs about what it's like to be looking for a horizon. Sometimes the horizon is a joyful revelation, many times it's hidden by thick fog and tough sea and other times it's not a horizon at all, but a push from behind.
I have my story in all of my songs. Angel Song is the one that always reminds me where I come from. It's the oldest, but every time I start those first notes on the guitar and close my eyes, I'm back there in the moment I first heard and felt it. People ask what it's about; it's about being gifted the heart and spirit to hang on when there's no earth left to walk, no air left to breathe and no light to get your bearings. You're on the floor in your darkest moments, pleading with your angels to help out.
In 2026, I experienced a massive universe shift of my own when I experienced a serious near death incident. I obviously survived but it reset my mind and changed my brain. A NDE provided me fantastic realisations about things that had got me down for a long time. But I also lost my ability to play guitar. For a while I was so annoyed I wasn't able to write songs like I did. And then I found a different way to encounter music - I learnt drums from a professional in jazz (Phil Collings). This opened up a new pathway into music through new parts of my brain! Now I'm into sorts of music in high energy like punk and rap (I'm a visual thinker so I 'see' music like scenes in a movie). I can still play songs before 2016 but now I write music with the help of a friend on guitar.
Thankyou to everyone who has supported my music.
